THE REST OF THIS QUOTE IS...

I just love the clothes! Lex and I are not there 2 take pictures... I don't have an album about 2 drop... my tour is sold out... I love fashion and this is one of the funnest things we can make time for! I totally love and respect any designer that won't let me come 2 there show... it's their show... they don't owe me anything... Balenciaga is one of the illest lines right now and I don't feel any type of way about not getting in! There's always a catch 22 in being a celeb ... your motives are always questioned... but only time will show my true love MY FIRST LOVE is for fashion and I appreciate just being in a position 2 afford 2 be able 2 spend a week in Paris visiting shows. I wish everyone could have this experience, the new music you hear, the new people you meet and most of all the beautiful clothes! I understand that some designers don't want all that unnecessary commotion at there shows, that's what I mean by "I get a lot of attention" ... I feel like music and fashion don't bridge enough... at least not as much as it did in the 80's when Madonna and Michael actually influenced designers... there was a give and take. I never use my blog 2 clear stuff up... but this is so close 2 my heart I had 2 say something... Anyone saying something negative has it wrong, they've got me wrong... I just want 2 make great art on every level and fashion shows are one of the best forms of art in the world. Thank you Paris again for the inspiration!!!

way to clear everything up
not your fault you've always had a passion for flashin Ye
& you're right, music and fashion don't connect near as much as they should. in my mind, they go hand in hand
moniqueiscool | March 1, 2008
omg! that's so sad. why would they not let kanye into their fashion show? that's so shady. he's gonna attract other audiences to their clothing that they probably wouldn't have gottne before. but whatever. they're hating on him. lol
missmiami | March 1, 2008
Kanye when I read the quote on concreteloop I knew that it was misinterpreted. Anyway, I feel you. U r truly blessed to have the ability to travel around the world and meet some of the most creative people. Ye, luv u and your style. Keep doing u. Oh yeah, what about the tickets in Miami. :)

That's cool. at the end of the day, you're still kanye and your fans still love you. Getting into a fashion is not that big of a deal...you'll survive. Can't wait to see you in the Chi!!

I respect your public respect for Balenciaga, however, I do feel there is a bit of disrespect in denying a fellow artist such as yourself access to the show - fash. shows are in an of themselves EVENTS for the press, and not having u there meant loss of alot of positive press for new markets and potential consumers of that designer's product- which is definatly fierce this season! oh well..
stephanienguyen | March 1, 2008
finally someone has come out and has point out what fashion first and foremost should be about. The DESIGNER. all off the glitz and the glam it has become does take away from what they have saught out for years to break away from, mainstream trash!
waterwalker | March 1, 2008
don't worry about it ye..like you said, its cool that you're just grateful to be in paris for a week visiting shows living your dream. most of us wont ever get to do that so thanks for staying humble and grateful. its all good.
olihill | March 1, 2008
Ye it needed to be cleared up, the fashion doesnt owe you, but you are a fan and a supporter of what these guys are doing so give and take is needed.
But Ye i wanted to know if you would take the time out to support the next wave of designers? my show is part of graduate fashion week in London, and its where people like McQueen and Galliano were born.
I met you backstage at your Westminster show during last summer, with the black millionaires, i would love for you to create the music for my show which is being sponsored by Umbro (Kim Jones old company).
Pharrell did it with Louis Vuitton, now its your turn to step up.
I will try and post this message everyday so that you may get the chance to read it!!
Please help me out Ye'!!!
PEACE

btw, kanye just to let you kno, my boyfriend and i shelled out close to 2g's to come to the chi to see you for your tour. all the way from boston!
4 days & 3 nights at the swissotel, 2 plane tickets, car rental, 2 concert tickets in the 1st ten rows, and that's not even including food or other erroneous expenses. but coming thousands of miles just to see you in your home city, is priceless to us!
girlisagun | March 1, 2008
Kanye, you have the most influential style out there today. Have you thought about actually working with some designers and having a a clothing collection or line of your own?
BA2 | March 1, 2008
looks like u've grown up eversince u snugged into the grammys 4-5 yrs ago, kanye.

lex_lightning | March 1, 2008
it must get annoying with all these magazines cutting up your words to make you sound like an ass, what with rolling stone and stuff, sorry man.

I think we as fans get yourt perspective, but the media and most people don't think very highly of you. Understanding your point of view, we are more accepting, but the press is going to take any chance they can to make you look as negatvily a possible. That being said, it's too bad you didn't get to go to that show. You sharing the pictures with us is the closest most us will ever get too seing these amazing designs.
Much love, and keep up with the awsome blogging Ye.

Hey Kanye. I think it's wrong when a designer block artists like yourself from their shows. Don't they realize how much more interest it would bring to their product. I don't think the designer would block Madonna, Lindsay Lohan Or Paris Hilton. It's unfortunate that the designers don't fully respect the urban artists. It's ridiculous. It's good that U cleared things up. Don't be afraid to clear things up when necessary on your blog. It would be good to hear the truth from U at times.
Derlee06 | March 1, 2008
Kanye ur the best! what other artist would break something down like that for his fans....no one
Babs | March 1, 2008
Sometimes when people ask you a question, they dont want to hear the answer you give them. So I say, DONT ASK ME! Dont appreciate it when people make out simple, genuine intentions to be underhanded. I learned you just gotta do you regardless. The truth shines through x
ladylove48 | March 1, 2008
KanYe I respect your love for fashion, I myself love it. I think your awesome. Keep doing what ya doing.
lilmissunshine | March 1, 2008
wow kanye i love how u felt so strongly about this. u right though, sometimes you DO just got to set it straight no matter how pretentious it may sound....not that this sounded pretentious. it felt VERY REAL actually.
it must suck to not be allowed into a fashion show, especially if its something you love to be a part of. i know i would be upset if i wasnt allowed to go to the movies...or listen to the radio
u takin the high road about it, and bein mature and logical and reasonable about the whole thing which is very admirable of you! thats y i love ya!
i wish i could make them let ya in lol

You should do more entries like this, Kanye. I like reading your thoughts. :)
.... OKAY so I just reread that and it sounds really creepy. lol. I don't mean it in a weird way, really, just that this is a nice change from the pictures only posts.
Luisfer | March 1, 2008
you are the shit kanye...another proof that you really are the greatest consolidate perfomer, entrepreneur, artist in the whole world.....the world is coming to you kanye
tuesdainoelle | March 1, 2008
@Kanye: (smiling) Thank you first and foremost for talking with us and just being Kanye and not being "Kanye West", it's as if your'e were one of US completely. That was very insightful, intelligent and well-stated :)Here's a quote for you to hold on to, for when people "critize" and falsely accuse you of things that you have either not said or done. LOL, I know especially when I come on HERE!!!!
"Sandwich every bit of criticism between two layers of praise" -Mary K. Ash.
Remember Kanye, "Only people who don't have ENOUGH "courage" or "confident" to be WHO they are, have a problem with others being themselves in their GLORY. And that goes for every way IN LIFE. Stay encouraged :)
Yaasakaa | March 1, 2008
Refused entry WOW! I just did my dissertation draft on music and fashion and how the two will ALLWAYS coincide with one another, so its sad to see that at this day and age an artist cannot enjoy a form of art which inspires them without being told they're attention seeking, boi this celebrity thing is waaay overrated and frustrating gosh...
RENiE | March 1, 2008
i really appreciate you getting a little personal on your blog, its something you should do more often because we wouldn't read it if it wasn't about connecting to YOU.
that designer was WHACCKKK for not letting you in.. regardless of what woulda went down you woulda been adding POSITIVE attention to his shit.
llAll | March 1, 2008
glad you talked abt it here :) media is always messing the truth up!
GregParker | March 1, 2008
@Kanye---I know what you mean about creating art on ALL levels. You have had a great opportunity to experience that. And many more great experiences to come. Glad to see you happy man. Keep getting inspired Fam, because you have inspired so many. Peace.

amen, Kanye.
Louie_Pradagucci | March 1, 2008
Cool. I got something to get off my chest. First, Why is all the music that I hear just sound like garbage. My favorite artists are Lupe, Kanye, Mos Def, Talib Kweli and Common. Music ain't what it used to be. Pepole ain't saying anything anymore. They just in it for the money.
andreacaseydotcom | March 1, 2008
word i love you yeezy!
denise_islove | March 1, 2008
I simply love the fact that your an artist who loves and apperciates fashion, especially he designers. Not only that, but you carry your clothing the right way. There's plently of celebrities out here that are able to afford the high-end designer wear, but the do not know how to carry it, correctly. I'm very upset that there is certain designers who do not want your attendence. I think that's wrong. What abou those young celebrities who don't know anything about the designer's history? I don't understand why their able to attend, they just want the publicity. I was never aware of this, I hope it isn't my favorie designers who are no allowing you to attend their shows. I guess, when they say life isn' fair, it's true.
denise_islove | March 1, 2008
Oops, I have some erros in that entry but I'm on my iphone..... If it's Balenciaga who didn't allow you to attend their show, I'm mad. I'm not going to purchase the shoes anymore! Hm!
Tamomari | March 1, 2008
It's very unfortunate. Again, Kanye continue to be an HONEST with us always. Don't be afraid to do so.
Please post those pic of U in that nice grey suit, with the white-on-white shirt & tie and those nice shoes U had on. PLEASE!!!!!!!!! Sorry to beg; but, U looked so great for that fashion event.
MUHFUCKINMYN | March 1, 2008

Hey Kanye, what do you think about the FAM on here, the new bloggers just joining, and the haters that peek in occasionally? What are your views on US?
tuesdainoelle | March 1, 2008
@Kanye: "Since you're expressing truth and being profound, what is your take on the FAM the new bloggers and THE IGNORANT haters?
Eynakevoli | March 1, 2008
Kanye I'm looking forward to your line..see how your designs connect with your music...
Nette821 | March 1, 2008
@ tuesdainoelle.... that quote on people having a problem with others being themselves in their "GLORY", was a good one.... i was lightly affected by this post but, that right there.... is exactly what i wanted to say..... lol, straight up
amisspelledword | March 1, 2008
